Get, Set, DuckDuckGo!
I know nobody is interested in reading when Google was established or when DuckDuckGo was established, but if you really want to know, then just Google it or I should say DuckDuckGo it!
With DuckDuckGo, you get instant answers of some of your questions asked, like if you ask about a movie, you will get the IMDb review on the top of the search results. DuckDuckGo also has a cool feature to search within your defined site. DuckDuckGo has named it !bang. So if you want to search about anything in Flickr, just type !Flickr followed by your search. Well, actually it is not new because Google also lets you search within a specific site, but for a rising star like DuckDuckGo, it is a nice feature.
The Duck is not watching you...
A very important requirement in today's internet life is 'the need of privacy'. Google is a bad guy when it comes to the privacy matter. DuckDuckGo states that it does not store any data from its users and thus it promises privacy. This is a very important key factor which makes DuckDuckGo stand ahead of Google. DuckDuckGo is also very smooth, fast and clean, so it reminds of a clutter-less Google. Information searched with DuckDuckGo is accurate enough and the search results are impressive and contain much relevant content similar to Google search results.
In the end, DuckDuckGo is a good enough alternative to Google if you are tired of Googling or just want some change. Yet, it is not complete enough. There are still many features that make Google stand miles ahead of DuckDuckGo. But with the same speed, maybe one day DuckDuckGo would become a real alternative to Google.
